How It Works

The purpose of Data Dater is to provide users with demographic data to help them identify locations where they may have an advantage in the dating marketplace. The user could move to a more advantageous location or focus dating in nearby counties with a greater advantage.

All raw data are estimates provided by the 2020 United States census obtained from census.gov.
4 To do this, each county has been evaluated in three key areas:

1. Total Population of single persons of the sex the user is seeking
2. The % of the overall single population that is the sex the user is seeking vs the opposite gender
3. Median income of the sex the user is seeking

Each of these 3 key areas are then given a percentile rank score based on how they compare statistically to all other counties in the country. The percentile rank scores are then averaged, and the county is given an overall score and a ranking relative to all other counties in the country.

Unfortunately, since census data does not capture sexual orientation or preference this program does not take into account sexual preference of the population, nor does it track non-binary gender individuals.
